Founded in 1981 by Ben Schwark and Eli Durante, Tiger Tractor grew to become a dominant producer of heavy-duty tractors used around the world to service airplanes and ferry cargo to and from airport terminals. The tractors could also be found moving packages for freight haulers and lugging parts at auto assembly plants.

Established originally as a family business specializing in tow tractor replacement parts, in 1985 Schwark and Durante began designing their own tractor. Incorporating the best design elements of other manufacturers at the time, the co-founders created an ideal tractor - rugged, reliable, and flexible - which earned a strong reception from market participants. From that day forward, the company has enjoyed an international client list and recognition as a provider of one of the industry's most successful tow vehicles.

Acquired by Taylor-Dunn Corporation in 2002, Tiger Tractor continues the strong tradition begun by the Schwark and Durante families by delivering the industry's most successful solution for demanding applications on the tarmac or in industrial settings.
